2009 Civic Health Index

The National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) is the nation's leading advocate for civic participation and the only organization chartered by Congress to paly that role. The NCOC created America's Health Index to asses how the American people were performing on a wide variety of indocators of civic health.

Just as the Unoted States collects data on our economy to inform policies that maintain its strength, the NCoC wanted the nation to have relaible data on the attitudes, behaviors, abd actions of Americans related to their civic lief. This information is designed to inform and motivate individuals, leaders, and policymakers at all levels to strengthen the civic engagement of our people.
