The Alliance for Children & Families Civic Engagement Grant Opportunities for 2009

The Alliance for Children and Families is requesting proposals from member organizations to strengthen efforts to support the civic engagement of clients and community members.

The purpose of the Civic Engagement grants is to effectively engage member organizations, their clients and community members in family-strengthening efforts to advance social changes that can improve their own lives and bolster the chances of success for vulnerable children, families, and communities.

The three grant categories offered through the Civic Engagement program at the Alliance are:

1. National Family Week (up to fifteen $2,000 grants for a Community Forum)

2. New Voices at the Civic Table (up to ten $5,600 grants for a one year period)

3. Community Leadership (up to three $35,000 grants for a three year period)
