Staff Bios

Linda Nguyen is Director of Civic Engagement for the Alliance for Children and Families. In this capacity, she works with human service organizations around the U.S. to increase and enhance their civic engagement efforts, in turn providing opportunities for thousands of people in underserved neighborhoods to participate in community decisions in meaningful ways. Since joining the Alliance staff in 2005, Linda has led the development and implementation of the Civic Engagement program, managed and distributed grants, and conducted research and evaluation. 

 

Paula Purcell is Associate Director, Civic Engagement, for the Alliance for Children and Families. She works with human service organizations in supporting ongoing civic engagement initiatives. In this position she helps develop and initiate various projects such as managing the grant process, planning the civic engagement institutes, and overseeing the National Family Week brand. In addition, Paula has worked for the Alliance in various communications and public relations capacities.
